The Hoof It Centaur Avatar has been redesigned!
Bigger and better than ever before, the Centaur not only looks great, but acts it too with a bunch of HUD controlled actions, realistic animations and more.
Even though this is a totally new build, the price remains the same and if you already own one of our Centaur avatars, you can upgrade for free. However, there's a catch :)

The new avatar will be available to buy from our store at Fantasy Faire from Saturday 2nd April, and nowhere else! All proceeds from those vendors go directly to the cancer charity Relay for Life, so not only will you be getting a wicked set of hooves, you'll be supporting one of the biggest causes there is.
After the event (ends Sunday 10th April) you'll find the Centaur back at the main Hoof It store and you'll be able to grab an update if you wish. But we'd appreciate a couple of L$ in the Relay donation kiosks if you can :) See you at the Faire!
Here's what to expect:
- Modifiable and copyable - customise to your heart's content!
- AO moves you like a horse
- Partial AO allows you to combine your own animations with the Centaur movement
- Animated legs in run, walk and jump
- Toggle random sounds and add your own
- Toggle hoof prints
- Toggle dust cloud
- Toggle hoof sounds
- Bow
- Kick and push people and physical objects
- Rear
- Sit
- Poop!
- Male and female versions
- Available in grey, bay, black, chestnut, appaloosa and dapple grey
- Markings HUD allows you to select individual leg markings
- Use your own skin, hair and clothes
You can see pictures of all the (male) centaurs in the Hoof It Flickr group.
Hoof It at Fantasy Faire
31 March 2011
I am honored this year to be a sponsor of Fantasy Faire in Second Life. You can read all about it in this post below.
I would encourage everybody to go and explore as soon as you have the chance - it opens this Saturday and there are 9 amazing sims to explore, and lots to do!
You'll find the Hoof It store in the awesome steampunk sim Nemo Revisited, where you'll be able to pick up loads of avatar accessories designed specifically for the event, never to be sold again, and all for charity.
You can see some snaps of the special products we'll have for sale in the Hoof It Flickr group!
Relay Donations
28 March 2011
According to SL exchange rates at the moment, L$1 costs just US$0.01. If you happen to be visiting, please pop a couple of L$ in one of the Relay for Life donation kiosks. You'll find them in the sales barn, avatar shed & sandbox. It doesn't have to be much, but we're a big group, and if a few of you can spare a little it could make a big difference in the fight against cancer.
Please call by and make a donation. NONE of this money goes to me - I don't get any reward for getting the most donations or anything - I am simply hosting the kiosks for the charity.
Thanks :)
Fantasy Faire 2011, April 2 - 10th
22 March 2011
From Saturday April 2nd to Sunday April 10th 2011, thousands of Second Life residents and creators are coming together to support the American Cancer Society's vision of a world without cancer. Friends Fighting Cancer (FFC) have transformed nine sims of Second Life into a fantasy wonderland: the Fantasy Faire 2011 to benefit Relay for Life of Second Life (RFL of SL).

The Fantasy Faire 2011 is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers and performers in the virtual world. Ten days of commerce, special events, live music concerts, exclusive items auctions, RFL ribbon hunts and fundraising to benefit Relay for Life and the fight against cancer. Avatars, clothing, furnishings, gadgets, goodies and exclusive items are available from top SL Fantasy Creators in stunning sims designed by builders creating some of the most noticeable fantasy spots on the SL destination guide.
This nine sim event is bringing together such fantasy genres as Fairy, Elven, Magic, Mermaid, Goth, Demon, Vamp, Neko, Micro, Steampunk, Sci-Fi and more including fantasy landscaping and appearance such as skin & hair! FFC's goal in 2011 is to raise $20,000 USD for RFL of SL. The Fantasy Faire 2011 will also offer visitors an opportunity to celebrate the survivors of cancer, remember and honor loved ones lost, and to fight back with the American Cancer Society.
To join us this year just search for "Fantasy Faire Central" on the map - open to the public 2nd - 10th April, 2011.

Horse and Foal and Wings update
22 March 2011
There's a new update to the HUDs with the Horse avatars, Foal avatars, and their associated Pegasus wings.
Please note: If you wear more than one item with an update script in when you use the button, it's a toss-up which one will 'win'. So for example if you're wearing your horse and wings and want to update your wings - it's possible that the button will be listening when the horse talks to it, and thus decide there's no update (because it's looking for wings)
Not terribly elegant, I know, but for the time being please bear with me! Either keep trying or take off the part you're not currently trying to update.
Away
9 March 2011
I am away for a week, with limited (if any!) internet accesss - I'll be back on 17th March. If you need me, please send me a notecard (IMs are bound to go missing!) and I'll get back to you when I return, but I probably won't be able to help before then. See you when I'm back!
